Vacation Fun

What a super, fun, fabulous week we had after Christmas! We were all on vacation and made sure that we did something fun each day. Here are a few of the fun things we did:

Saturday - Pajama Day! We stayed in our jammies for most of the day and played with the new toys and Wii games. We really like our new Wii game and Sugie’s new Wii game (called Pajama Party) is really cute and perfectly suited for her. We did venture out later that evening for dinner.
Sunday – Party at my godparent’s house

Monday – Sugie went shopping with my sweet niece and Mimi. That evening, we had several friends over for dinner. Dessert was wonderful b/c everyone brought their leftover Christmas treats! I found out that Sugie likes one of the boys that was at our house. I’m not ready for that!!

Tuesday - Played hard at Pump It Up and then had dinner at our favorite pizza place.

Wednesday-Friday – more to come….

Saturday – We went out for a nice lunch with the hubby’s mom after Sugie’s cheer camp. Sugie ended up spending the night with her. It was her 2nd sleepover that week. She spent the night with my mom and sweet niece on Weds.

All week – The hubby and spent EVERY night playing our new Wii game, Super Mario Brothers. We played so much that my thumb was sore all week and that we made it to the end of the game!! I stayed up way past my bedtime each night! But, it was worth it to spend that much quality time with my sweet hubby!

Another Family Gathering...

We had another family gathering on the Sunday after Christmas at my godparent’s house. My godmother always puts on a great party – the food is delicious and her decorating is amazing! (I think we counted 8 Christmas trees!)

The kids played a hiding game with Larry the Elf all afternoon and then we all played the Dirty Santa game with some silly gifts. I really loved my gift and my mom’s gift!

It was really nice spending time with that side of the family and we enjoyed catching up with my godparent’s daughters and the rest of the family.

Christmas Day

My family came over on Christmas Day. Mom cooked lunch for us, my brother and his family, and my grandpa. The cousins all love getting together and running wild! After lunch, we had a nice afternoon of opening gifts and spending time together.

Sugie liked her new clothes and jewelry making set and Buddy enjoyed getting more Geo-trax sets. The Baby also really likes his new penguin bath toy.

The kids were exhausted from another big day. The hubby and I were anxious to try out our new Wii game and stayed up late playing it. It was the start of many late night gaming adventures!!

Surprises from Santa

Christmas morning was especially fun this year since both Sugie and Buddy were so excited about Christmas.

Sugie was actually awake at 11 pm on Christmas Eve and discovered that Santa had already been at the house. Thankfully, she wasn’t interested in presents; just looking for a different place to sleep! She’s convinced that it was Santa’s jingle bells that woke her up! Both kids eventually woke up around 7 am for the big present opening.

Little Buddy was soooooooo excited when he saw all of the gifts under the tree. The first one he opened was the Bat Cave, the gift he had longed for the most. When we tried to get him to open other things, he said, “I already have my Bat Cave. I don’t need anything else.”

Sugie was so excited to see the presents for everyone. She is such a sweet, caring little girl. She was thrilled with her Polly Pocket Roller Coaster and Pixos, but disappointed that she didn't get a pogo stick. I reassured her that she was on Santa's nice list, but he probably didn't think a pogo stick was the best suited gift for her. I can't wait to try out her other gift, though - a huge ball the kids (or adults) get inside of and roll down the hill or around the house!

It was so fun putting there new toys together and playing with everything that morning. It was a truly wonderful morning!!

Christmas Eve

The hubby’s family came over for lunch and presents on Christmas Eve. The kids were excited about opening presents, so they didn’t eat much lunch! I ate too much, especially too many scrumptious brownies! I love Christmas with the in-laws because it’s nice and relaxed. There’s no rush to get through presents, so everyone can see what everyone else got.

Buddy loved his new firetruck, was scared of his dinosaur, and couldn’t wait to set up his Polar Express train set. Sugie was so excited about her fake fingernails and princess clothes and was anxious to make candy jewelry.

That evening, we took Grandpa to church with us. Buddy really wanted Grandpa to spend the night with us and even showed him the bed he could sleep in! The kids were exhausted from the big day and ready to go to bed when got home from our special Christmas Eve dinner with mom and Grandpa.

Pizza Party!

We spent out Christmas Eve Eve with my mom’s side of the family at Turoni’s! It was nice visiting with everyone and the pizza was yummy! Sugie loved spending time with my sweet niece, Buddy loved the Geo-trax set he was given, and the Baby was big hit with everyone!
