Another Day at the Beach

Little E finally got used to the beach and agreed to sit on a blanket while playing in the sand. The kids aunts got them cool beach kits that make a plaster-like impression in the sand. We had fun making these with the kids.

Little E and Andy were beach buds. They lounged together for quite awhile.

I found the hubby taking a nap with Little E!

The kids LOVED making a turtle sand sculpture. They made friends with kids making a mermaid, so they wanted to make their own sculpture.

We went back to Destin for dinner that evening. We ate by the bay and watched ships come in. The kids LOVED seeing a big pirate dock at our restaurant.

We walked around the boardwalk after dinner. There was a huge stage area for concerts. Music and videos were playing, so our crew jumped on stage and DANCED! I give Buddy the "Dancer of the Night" award. He broke out some sweet moves that I'd never seen before. The kids, especially Sugie, of course, loved the stage.

The boardwalk was so pretty! It was a really fun night!

More Ft. Walton / Destin

These pics are in the reverse order and I don't have the time to reverse them, so we'll look back at Day 3 starting with our evening.

We went to Destin Commons to look around and eat dinner.

D really wanted to eat at Hard Rock, but it was SOOO busy!

We spent most of the afternoon playing games and building forts in the condo. It was rainy! The morning was great, so we played in the children's area and pool.

We took a pic just like this last year, so it's neat to see how much they have grown.

My tired crew on the way to dinner. Since the weather was crummy, EVERYONE was out! It took forever to get into Destin!

Florida - Day 2

We were very excited to spend the next morning in the ocean!

There were a few clumps of seaweed in the water, but it mostly clear. Last year, the seaweed freaked the kids out!

Sugie actually got in the water this year!

Buddy and D would probably play in the waves all day if we let them!

Little E was NOT a fan of the beach at all! He is very particular about things and does not like to be dirty. The combo of the sand and seaweed line on the beach made him very unhappy.
