Miniature Golf

Our weeknights are usually pretty hectic trying to cram in dinner, homework, practices (cheer, soccer, baseball, etc.), baths, and playtime before the kid's bedtimes. We had a night a few weeks ago with no homework or practices, so we headed out for some fun!

We took the kids to play putt putt. We were almost the only people in the place which was wonderful!! (We did see our friends with their 4 boys, but they were leaving when we got there.)

Little E had fun running around and hitting everyone's balls! Sugie's ball ended up in the water a few times. Buddy is really good at the game when he takes his time! It was a fun night out and a nice break from our normal routine!

Our Leprechaun

I love holidays and trying to make them special for the kids. So, for St. Patrick's Day, we made chocolate chip cookies with green chips.

We also all dressed in green. (Little E says "cheese" now when I take his pic. He's so adorable!)
Here's Sugie in her green. She's really been in to jump roping lately and is getting pretty good!
Before school, Buddy asked me all about leprechauns and their pots of gold. He left the house determined to catch a leprechaun with his friends at school.

Well, he didn't catch any leprechauns, although one apparently made a mess in their classroom while they were playing outside, he did come home with this:

A FOUR LEAF CLOVER!!!

He was so excited about his big find!! I was thrilled for him, too, but still secretly wonder how my child who wouldn't see an elephant standing in an otherwise empty room found a clover with 4 leaves??

Freaky things started happening at our house that evening. I set out milk on the table for dinner. When I wasn't looking, it turned GREEN! Buddy swears that a leprechaun did it.

Then, I walked by the cabinets and found this:

A POT OF GOLD CANDY!!

Sugie also noticed that things were messed up and out of place at our house.
We never did catch that crazy leprechaun running amuck in our house, but we sure did have a fun day!!!

Gorgeous Weather = Playtime at the Park

Last Saturday was gorgeous!! The hubby was gone all day and he sure missed out on some fun! The kids were so excited to go play at the park! Little E is an adventurer and had no fears about exploring everything. We're going to have to watch this one very closely!

Sugie was such a sweet sister and pushed Buddy on the swing. That boy sure does love to swing!
The baby swings finally opened up, so I could push both boys. Buddy has demonstrated that he can pump his legs and swing by himself, but he prefers my "super pushes" and "rollercoasters". (I will brag... I am a darn good and fun swing pusher!)



After over an hour of fun, we headed to one of their favorite restaurants for lunch. Then, it was time for more fun with some neighbor friends in our backyard. It was a glorious day!

Let it be noted that the kids wore me out that day. According to the hubby, I fell asleep 5 minutes after we put the angels to bed!

Cheer Celebration Night

After Sugie's last basketball that she cheered for, the league held a celebration ceremony for all of the participants. Each child was individually recognized by their coaches, given trophies and prizes, and then we ate cake!

Usually after each game, I award each girl with a colored star sticker for their megaphone. Each star stands for something different, like effort, cheers, leadership, etc. At the ceremony, we gave out the stars in front of everyone and told about each child's season.

Sugie was definitely a team leader, always gave a lot of effort, was super spirited, came up with great cheers, and was a super cheerleader! (No bias here!)

We learned about 15 cheers to perform at the games and two dances. The girls worked hard, but we also had a lot of fun! I'll miss those girls!

Mustaches

I have silly kids and I love it! Lately, they've really loved Fruit by the Foot for their snacks. Not only does it come in super long rolls, it comes in fun shapes!

We thought we were hilarious the other night by trying out new mustaches. I think it's a good look for Buddy.
Sugie is definitely working the goatee!

Princess Night

Last Friday, we attended Princess Night at Chick-Fil-A along with every other person in the city! It was super crazy!! There were several stations to visit - hair, nails, decorate a princess crown, and get a picture with 2009 Ms. America. Sugie opted for a new 'do!

Sugie loved her princess curls and pink glitter accents! One of my friends saved us a table so we were able to eat, but man, that place was packed!

When we got home, Sugie finished morphing into a princess by putting on her blonde wig, loads of blue eye shadow, and her Cinderella dress.

I know what you're thinking.... Yes, we just spent 30 minutes in line to get Sugie's hair curled and then she covers it up with a wig. It's hard to reason with a fashion diva.

Pictionary Night

We had a fun night last month with some good friends! While we were making dinner, the kids did this:

Then, one of the adults had to try out Sugie's Fun Slides. I was really hoping to capture a money making video, but no such luck!
After dinner and dessert, we played Pictionary on the Wii. It was so much fun!!! I'll never forget some of those "great" drawings!

Crafty Sugie

As I've mentioned before, Sugie loves hair accessories. I usually fix her hair in the morning with the appropriate amount of "hair pretties". Then, she goes to her room and adds in 1-2 more "pretties". It's overkill, but I admire that she has her own fashion sense and doesn't care what others may or may not say about it.

So, when I saw a "Make Your Own Headband" kit, I knew that Sugie had to have it! We had good mother/daughter time putting it together!

So proud to be the owner of another hair accessory!

Sugie's First Presentation

Sugie had her first big report and oral presentation due last month. Each kid picked an animal and had to write a report, present the report in class, and have a visual aid to go along with the presentation (e.g. poster, shoe box display, mobile, etc.).

Sugie picked the Monarch Butterfly and was excited to tell her classmates about it. The techy hubby asked the teacher if she could prepare a power point presentation for her visual aid. The teacher was thrilled because it had never been done before.
Sugie did awesome, of course, and got a 100% on her report & presentation. She worked really hard on it, even while battling Influenza Type B. (Poor baby!) We're so proud of her!

A Day With My Boys

I recently got to spend a weekday with my boys. Usually, if I'm at home during the week, it's because one of my angels is sick. Not this time!

We went played outside most of the morning, then went to the library, went shopping, and ate lunch at Buddy's favorite restaurant - McDonalds.
During E's nap Buddy and I had a Wii marathon! When Sugie came home from school, she joined in on the fun. We also let Little E experience playing with Playdough! It was a fantastic day!

Beauty School

Sugie has been into playing Beauty Shop lately. She loves hair accessories and makeup! Here's my new look, compliments of Salon Sugie.

So, then I took my turn playing hair stylist and makeup artist. I used advice from the movie "My Girl" when applying Sugie's makeup - a girl can never wear enough blue eyeshadow.
Then, I used a few inspirations from Club Tabby to fix her hair. We were total fashion divas.
