Shark Boy & the Teeth Extraction

Buddy's new name is Shark Boy.  I named him this because his bottom permanent teeth decided to grow in behind his baby teeth leaving him with two rows of teeth...just like sharks!

After a visit with the dentist, it was determined that Buddy needed to have his baby teeth removed.  Not just two of them, but FOUR! 

Buddy was such a champ on the day of extraction.  He wasn't worried or nervous.  Buddy ended up losing one tooth before extraction day, so they only had to pull three teeth.

The nurse had recommended Buddy stay home from school the day of the extraction in case he was in pain.  Buddy never complained about any of it and was never in pain.  That boy is a trooper!!  We ended up having a fun day off together!

Buddy Lost His 1st Tooth!!

Buddy tried to separate two legoes with his teeth.  This didn't end up too well for Buddy's teeth.  The legoes slipped and it loosened one of his bottom teeth.

A couple of weeks later while Buddy was eating an apple, his tooth came out!!

Looks like someone is getting a visit from the tooth fairy!!

The Really Big Game Show

My work sponsored a table at the Really Big Game Show.  They drew employee names to win the tickets to the show.  My name was picked, so the hubby and I had a date night!

When we got to our seats, a lady asked if we would be willing to go on stage to play a game.  I signed up.  Why not?  I love games!

There were only a few games during the show that called up participants from the audience.  But, the very last game they had was the Price Is Right.  They were going to call up 4 contestants.  Three names were called and then I heard, "Julie, come on down!"

We had to bid on this vacuum (please tilt your head).  I know that this is a pricey vacuum, so when the highest bid was $50, I knew that I just had to one up it and I'd win.  So, my $51 bid won me a vacuum and the chance to play Plinko!



I had to guess prices on items to win Plinko chips.  I correctly guessed the price of Ski and BBQ sauce, but somehow missed Enfamil.  (How did I miss that?!?)  Thankfully, the host Jeff Lyons, gave me the chip anyway.

All of my Plinko chips fell just one space off of the grand prize.  I was sad.  But, then Jeff asked the audience if I should win anyway and they gave me the prize.  Yay!!  I won a cruise 3 day cruise for two people!  What a great date night!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The kids came home from school with bag loaded with cards and treats!

Sugie even wore a heart dress that Mimi had made for my sweet niece several years ago.

Beanie in the Snow

Beanie still had fond memories of playing in the snow from the Christmas blizzard, so he insisted on going outside to catch a few snowflakes on his tongue!

He are some more pics of Buddy's basketball games.  He scored at least once in every game.  Buddy is great defender and rebounder.  He's not afraid to get in there and get the ball.

Will You Be My Valentine?

The kids were excited to pick out Valentine Day cards and treats to pass out to their friends.  E picked out Batman cards and loved signing his name on each one.

Buddy picked out wrestling cards and quickly got bored of writing his name!!

Sugie picked some artsy cards where you use a pencil thing to scratch black wax to reveal the message.  Of course, she loved preparing her cards!
