Kids Fest at Garvin Park

My sweet niece told us about a Kids Fest in Garvin Park in August.  It was a beautiful Saturday, so I took the kids for some fun.  It was awesome!
There were so many games and great prizes.  My Sugie throw a football through this tire!  What an arm!
There were also several inflatables!  Who doesn't love a good slide and bounce house?
The kids played so many games.  We came home with a bag full of prizes.
There was also a cupcake walk.  Can you believe that Sugie won 3 times!  The boys never won, but Sugie shared all of her cupcakes.  She's a great sister.

Little E loved the firetruck!  They had the ladder down and extended which he thought was so cool!
Buddy loved the police K9 dog.
Please tilt your head for this pic!  We ate lunch with the sweet niece during her break.
We went to the playground after lunch.  It was the perfect day to spend outside.

Sugie's Room Makeover

We're finally getting to step 2 on Sugie's room makeover project.  The first step was to remove the bunk beds and her roommate, Buddy.  We completed that in June.  Now we've stripped off the old bolder, painted the walls hot pink, and have a new zebra border up.  Final pics coming soon!  Her room is so cute!  Thanks to Sugie for helping me paint her room!  It was good mother/daughter time!

Labor Day Fun

We didn't have many plans over Labor Day weekend which was so nice!!  We were supposed to have incredibly crummy weather with remnants of Hurricane Isaac coming through, but it actually wasn't too bad.  Our Monday was fairly rainy, so I let the kids play outside in the rain.  Then, they got the hose out and had a water battle.
They had so much fun!!  I even got in a few sprays to the kids!

More Ice Skating

We went back to the ice rink over Labor Day weekend.  Buddy did so much better and was able to stay on his feet for almost a complete circle around the rink.
Buddy tries to walk and step on the ice instead of glide.  We're still working on that!

Sugie, of course, took advantage of the full rink and had a ball!
Little E and I sat in the bleachers and watched them skate.  Then, Little E ventured upstairs to watch the people work out in gym.  It was a fun afternoon!

My Little Cleaner

My Little E has always loved to clean.  He was thrilled when he got a cleaning set for his 2nd birthday!  So, each week his household chore is to clean windows.  He LOVES it and cries when I don't let him clean!  Love this kid!
Did I mention that he likes to clean in his skivvies?!?

Holiday World 2012

In late August, the family went to Holiday World!  We had been meaning to get up there earlier this summer, but just ran out of time!  This was Little E's first trip to HW.
The boys just got off of the new swing ride.  Buddy and Sugie LOVED it.  Little E was not tall enough, so we rode the carousel while they rode the swings.
I don't know how many times we rode these Jeeps.  Each kid had to have their turn at the wheel.

We road Ragin' Rapids before lunch.  Let's just say that Little E was not a fan of that ride.  Usually one person gets really soaked on that ride.  Of course, it was my boy who was crying to get off of the ride the entire time.  Nice.
After lunch we headed to the water park, which is the kids most favorite part of the day!  The kids and the hubby hung out in the wave pool.  Little E and I hit up the kiddie area.  He loved the water slides!

The hubby and kids on the racing slides.
The hubby won, followed by Sugie and then Buddy.
The kids found another play area while we were leaving the waterpark.
We rode the Frightful Falls a gazillion times.  It's Buddy's favorite ride!!  We couldn't convince Little E to try it!

On our way to get ice cream. the kids stopped to watch a diving show.
What is that on the hubby's face?  It's his spoon like Little E.  Nice pic, dear.
We found the kiddie rides when we were leaving the park.  We told the kids that to just ride one, but we ended up riding them all...some of them twice!  They had so much fun and there we no lines.

What a perfect day!  We had a great time!!!  On the drive home, I jammed to my music, Sugie watched a movie, and all of the boys took a nap!
