One of the best inventions......

The baby had some new excitement in his life last week. We stuffed him in his exersaucer! (He can't support himself in it yet, so we stuff a blanket in with him to hold him up.) This has to be one of my favorite inventions of all time!! It's brought my children hours of happiness & fun. It's brought me hours with my hands free to whatever I want!!

Baby seemed to like it. Of course, Sugie and Buddy tried to show him all of the toys right away, so I'm sure the little guy was overwhelmed. He was able to reach for some of the toys. He's growing up so fast!

Acorns Galore!

Each Friday, Buddy comes home from pre-school with a box with a homework assignment inside. Last weekend's assignment was to bring in acorns on Monday. So, we set out on an acorn hunt on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

The kids were so excited about looking for acorns and had so much fun on our walk. It was so cute to hear their excitement when they found some. Our neighborhood is loaded with acorns, so Buddy and Sugie quickly filled up Buddy's box for school. Such a simple task was really fun for the whole family. I hope we get to find leaves soon!

Wedding Reception

Last weekend, we attended a wedding reception at Biaggi's for some friends of ours. They had gotten married in Hawaii the week before! Too bad we didn't get to go to that wedding!!

We bravely took all 3 kids to the reception and were pleasantly surprised at their great behavior. I don't think we had to get after any of them even oncethe entire 3 hours we were there!! Of course, each child had their usual minimum of 2 trips to the bathroom. (What is it about public places that makes kids have to go so often?)

Anyway, the food was very plentiful and delicious and we had fun visiting with our other friends. Then, we came home for a very enjoyable night with nothing to do! It was fabulous!

Please join us for dinner....

The Baby officially started joining us for dinner over the weekend. He really likes to sit up now and does "crunches" when reclined in his baby seat. So, we brought the high chair upstairs so that he could sit with us at the table. He's such a preciously sweet baby!!

Neighborhood Party

After rushing home from Sugie's party & Literacy Day, we relaxed for about 30 minutes before we had to leave again. This time, we were going to the Neighborhood Party at our church. We ate dinner there and then enjoyed all of the activities.

Buddy really liked seeing the firetruck, but didn't want anything to do with Sparky the Fire Dog. He wouldn't drive the truck, turn on the siren, or climb in the firefighter's boots.

After that, we headed over to the petting zoo. Buddy liked the little chicks and bunnies. Sugie loved the bunnies and kept snuggling them. They also had goats, a baby calf, and a donkey.

The kids had the most fun playing on the inflatables and playground. Sugie didn't mind climbing around on everything, even though she had just finished playing at Pump It Up.

Sugie liked getting a rainbow painted on her face. On the way out, the kids wanted popcorn and balloons. They had fun playing with the balloons when we got home.

We were so anxious to get home since we had been on the go all day long. We got the kids cleaned up and tucked them in to bed. We were exhausted from all of the fun!

Chaotic Saturday

After the Race for the Cure on Saturday, we rushed to buy a birthday gift for one of Sugie's friends, who was having a party in just 2 hours! (I've never procrastinated that badly on gift buying!) We ran home for about 30 minutes & then headed to the party.

This was the first time we have ever dropped off Sugie at a party. She was totally fine with it, so we left her Pump It Up with all of her friends. She had a blast at the party!

While Sugie partied, the boys and I went to Literacy Day at the mall. We've gone ever since Sugie was 1, so I was sad that she had to miss it this year. Buddy was very quiet, but had fun doing art projects and picking out books. He made a ghost out of a sucker and could not wait to eat it!!

Race for the Cure

The whole family participated in Race for the Cure on Saturday. We enjoyed the beautiful weather on our walk downtown with P (a survivor!!) & E. Little Baby did NOT like the incredibly loud warm up music!

After our walk, we went into the VIP area for lunch. Several restaurants bring great food for all of the VIPs. There was a ton of stuff to choose from! The kids didn't have the most nutricious lunch, but they had fun! Buddy loved picking ham cubes out of our salads & Sugie complained that her cupcake was too sweet. These are words I never thought I would hear from her!!
