Universal Studios - Islands of Adventure

Our first day in Orlando was spent at Universal Studios - Islands of Adventure. We had a really good time at this park. It's probably best suited for kids a couple of years older than ours, but we still had plenty to do. Here are some highlights:

The Spiderman Experience: We somehow managed to sneak Buddy onto this ride!! He's a couple of inches to0 short, but they never measured him. (The people behind us commented how slick we were when getting him on the ride!) Our good feelings about Buddy getting a front row seat on his favorite superhero's ride were quickly diminished. Right after the ride started, the lights came on and said that we couldn't continue due to technical difficulties. We were super bummed, but the 4D thrill ride continued and we loved it!!! After the ride, we bought Buddy a Spidey doll that he didn't let go of the rest of the trip. He also got to meet Spiderman, which was so cool. We were so happy for little Buddy!

Toon Lagoon: It was sunny while at the park, but still a little cool - around 70. But, Sugie and I rode the log flume ride anyway! There was no line for the 10 minute ride. It was so much fun! Even though we got wet, we had a super time!! She ran through the "people dryer" when we finished!

Jurassic Park: Here we rode through the sky on the Pteranodon Flyers, spent way to much money on hot dogs, and watched a baby dinosaur hatch. Sugie knew that it wasn't real, but Buddy ate it up!

Harry Potter: Sadly, this exhibit wasn't open yet, but it looks really really cool!! My kids love the Harry Potter movies probably would have loved visiting Hogwarts.

Seuss Landing: We had sooo much fun here!! There was a train ride around the park, a Red Fish Blue Fish ride where the fish squirted water on us, a Cat in the Hat ride, a crazy carousel full of Dr. Seuss characters, yummy treats at the Sugar Shop, and a hands-on playground complete with water toys. We also saw the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & Thing 2, and the Grinch.

Baby and Mimi spent their day cuddling and relaxing at the hotel.
