3 kids = 9 medications
The picture pretty much sums up our week last week. All three kids are on antibiotics to clear up some infection.
It all started with the Baby, who came home from school on Friday with incredibly gunky eyes. By Sunday, he wasn’t sleeping well, had snot in basically every hole in his head, and had a fever. I took him to the doctor for an ear check. He had been playing and eating pretty well, so I wasn’t too concerned.
Well, the little dude had a really high fever, double ear infection, double eye infection, and rattling in his chest. The doctor thought it was most likely pneumonia and he needed a chest X-ray. She also said that we would most likely be at the doctor’s office everyday for the next few days to check out our little angel.
But first, he was given a shot in the office since he was in such bad shape and we had to stay for a little while so they could monitor him. He HATED that shot. It seemed like the nurse was pushing medication into him for 5 minutes. It was horrible!
We ventured over to the hospital for a chest X-ray. We were sent to the emergency room since it was a Sunday. Of course, the little baby hated being strapped into a gigantic test tube with his arms yanked straight up over his head.
So, as the doctor instructed, I took my baby to our regular wonderful doctor the next day. Thankfully, little Baby had improved greatly, so we didn’t have to go back anymore!!!
After returning home from the hospital on Sunday, Sugie complained of a sore throat, which was very red, swollen, and covered with white spots, and had a fever. So, she went to the doctor with me and Baby on Monday. She had strep throat.
On Tuesday, Buddy complained of a sore throat and had a mild fever. He was also talking funny! So, he went for his strep test and it was positive. Of course it was! He and Sugie had shared a drink last Saturday. He also had impetigo, a skin infection.
So, the kids are on numerous medications and creams to clear up their latest ailments. Whew! What a week it was!

Our First Campfire
A few weeks ago, the hubby grilled out for dinner and then had a special surprise for the kids. He made a fire in our fire pit!!
Our neighbors have a big fire pit in their background and we went to several of their campfires last year. It was always fun to sit by the fire and hang out, so I got the hubby one for our 11th anniversary.
The kids loved watching the fire, but mostly loved the s’mores!! It was a cool night, which was perfect to snuggle around a warm fire!

Child Labor
It’s so funny how kids become attached to random toys/objects. Out of all his cuddly or cool interactive toys, the Baby has chosen a sand box shovel and a Swiffer mop as his favorite toys.
Lately, he’s been into the “pick up” game. He drops a toy, I get it, he drops it again, I get it, etc. But, he doesn’t do this whenever he has his beloved shovel!! He carries it everywhere!!
He found the mop in the playroom and has since tried to carry it around with him, too. He gets super excited when we get the big mop out to clean the tile floors. He follows us around and tries to take it.
I’m not ashamed at all to put a dusting cloth on his mop. That way we both win – he gets his toy & I get my floor cleaned!

10 Months Old
Our super precious Baby was 10 months old on April 10. He is such a delightful little baby!!! Here’s what he can do:
- Weighs 22 lbs
- Still only has two teeth
- Can crawl everywhere and is getting fast!! He started crawling right before vacation. I was hoping that he’d wait because I didn’t want him crawling around on the hotel floors, but he ended up exploring everything!
- Can clap his hands!!
- Talks a lot, but only clearly says Dada and occasionally says Mama
- Has started drinking from a sippy cup although he has mostly just been chewing on it
- His favorite toy is a shovel from a sandbox kit he got from Mimi
- Goes to bed around 7:30 pm and wakes up around 6:30 am
- Takes his socks off in the car & chews on them
- Will pull up on things to his knees
- Thoroughly enjoys playing in the playroom with his siblings
- Gives big wide-mouthed kisses
- Consumes a lot of table food! This boy is an eater!! He prefers to feed himself (fine by me!) and has mostly shunned baby food
- Is the best behaved and easiest to care for of the 3 kids!!
- Is very ticklish around his neck
- When I'm standing, he crawls over to my feet, pushes his head between my shins, and slowly crawls up my legs until I pick him up.
We love him so much!! He is such a great addition to our family!
Water Blasters
Oh, what fun we had in our backyard on Easter! Buddy was so anxious to try out his new water blaster, so we filled up a bucket of water and let the kids go crazy.
It was a little cool outside, so Sugie screamed and squealed each time she got blasted. Buddy, however, loved getting wet and was soaked by the end of the day.
Since Princess Sugie was cold, the hubby took over her water blaster. He and Buddy had the best time getting each other!! Next year, the Easter Bunny better bring the hubby the same toys as the kids!!
I must say that Buddy had a good, natural technique by guarding the water bucket and quickly reloading his sprayer. I got in on a little of the action. Whew, it was chilly! We had sooooo much fun!!

Easter Baskets
Sugie was so excited about the Easter Bunny this year. So excited in fact that she went through everyone’s Easter baskets before the rest of us were even out of bed!!
The kids loved what the Easter Bunny left them this year. The Baby got some edible treats that he LOVES! Buddy got a basket full of Spiderman goodies! Sugie’s had iCarly or HSM items. They each got a can of Silly String, which we tried out on the bushes out front.
The biggest hit were the water blasters, which I’ll post more about later. That morning, the boys carried them around like swords.
