What in the World?

The kids like to run wild when they get home from school. It can be very noisy and chaotic in the house, but we know that they have to let their energy out somehow. This is how they were running around the other night:

Happy Birthday, Hubby!

The hubby celebrated his 35th birthday last week. We had a little party with our family the night of his big day. While the hubby was at cheerleading with Sugie, Buddy helped me make the cake that was requested. After dinner, the hubby opened presents and listened to our off-key rendition of Happy Birthday. The poor hubby wasn’t feeling well that night, so I’m sure that our little song didn’t help his headache any! Happy Birthday, sweetie!

7 months old

The Baby is 7 months old and absolutely precious!! At 7 months, he:

  • Loves to eat baby food and has even tried some of our table food (Sorry about the pizza crust, sweet hubby!)
  • Is totally entertained by his wild and crazy siblings
  • Will sometimes sleep through the night
  • Has two teeth and is constantly drooling or chewing on something
  • Has only rolled over once and was utterly scared when the whole family was loudly celebrating this big milestone
  • “Talks” a lot - I swear that he can say “mama”
  • Loves to be naked
  • Splashes the entire time he is in the bath tub
  • Delights us each minute of the day with his precious smile and sweet personality

Play Time with "Cups"

Baby is at a stage where he loves to explore new toys and play. Sugie and Buddy love this about the Baby! We often find the three of them playing together now. It’s so sweet how much they love that little Baby.

Sugie loves to pick up the Baby and carry him around the house. She always wants to hold him. She’s such a good little helper!

Buddy show his affection in different ways. He likes playing kitchen with Baby. He’s also given him the nickname “Cups”. (It’s a long story!) It is pretty cute to hear Buddy talk about Cups! Poor Baby may be stuck with this nickname for awhile!

Water Park Fun

Our family, sans little Baby, took a road trip on the Wednesday of our vacation. We didn’t tell the kids were we headed, so we had many guesses – the beach, church, Monkey Tubes, etc. They believed they were going to a turkey farm and were even a little excited about it.

Well, we didn’t go to a turkey farm, went to French Lick, IN for the day to play at the new indoor water park. Sugie told us that we were the best parents in the whole world when she saw the place! Woo hoo!!

There was a large area with 2 water slides for the kids, a toddler pool and slide, a big pool, a lazy river, and 4 slides/rides for the adults. We all had a fun time there and will definitely go back. It was a nice retreat from the winter weather!

New Years Fun

We spent New Years Day out on the town. First, little Baby had his picture taken. This was absolutely the best day to go! They only scheduled one appointment per hour, so there was no waiting or dodging other people in the waiting area.

For some fun, we took the kids to Gattitown. We hit "Movie Night" just right, so the kids slowly ate while they watched G-Force. We're thinking about playing movies every night at dinner b/c the kids ate so well and weren't so anxious to leave the table to go play.

It was so cute watching my kids ride the frog hopper and bowl together. They have there share of fights and arguments, but they are really great friends and truly enjoy each others company. Today was a fun way to start off our new year!

New Years Eve

It was a fun New Year's Eve for our family. We went shopping and out to eat at a yummy restaurant and then came home for some family fun. I declared a "No Dinner Night", so the kids had a blast eating snacks and desserts all evening!

The kids guzzled sparkling grape juice while the hubby and I sipped some champagne. Then, we had several fun games of Twister. Little Sugie sure is flexible!! Even Baby got into the action!

The kids stayed up until about 9 and then the hubby and I did our usual - played Wii!! We did take a break to watch the ball drop in NYC. Happy New Year!
