Presidential Message

Sugie got to watch the back-to-school message from the President yesterday in class. She said that she liked it. Her teacher asked them questions about it and had them write a few sentences about it. Sugie wrote:

“I liked the music. It was totally rockin’ cool.”

Glad she took away something from the message!

Three Months Old

Our precious little baby is three months old today!! He’s chunking up a lot, just like Buddy did. He got his second haircut over the weekend – this time with the trimmers. He put his bottom lip and pouted for most of it! It was pretty darn cute!

The little chunk still gets up 1 or 2 times at night. I’m so ready for him to start sleeping better! (I got spoiled with Buddy who slept through the night at 7 weeks.)

The Baby loves to smile and watch the kids play. He’s discovered his hands and always has them in his mouth. He is such a good little baby and really only cries when he’s hungry. We love him so much!!!!

Fairy Dust

Sugie lost her second tooth on Saturday! I pulled on it for a little bit and let Sugie pull it out. She was thrilled the next morning when she discovered that the Tooth Fairy had come again. She got another dollar, but was most excited that the Tooth Fairy left behind some fairy dust!! It looks a lot like glitter! :)

When she realized that these teeth were making her money, she tried pulling on some more. What a sharp little cookie!

Bowling Night

Since we didn't get to have fun at the splash park, we promised the kids that we'd do something else fun on Saturday. So, we decided on bowling. Sugie has been bowling several times and actually did pretty good. This was Buddy's first time bowling and he was super excited about it!

We went glow bowling, so the kids thought it was great when Baby's outfit glowed in the black lights. Sugie wanted a pink ball and Buddy was anxious to just get any ball and start bowling.

The hubby's game heated up at the end - he had 4 strikes in a row! I barely beat the kids! Buddy's ball got stuck on the lane a few times, so we had to ask the employees to retrieve it. It started to get embarassing! Sugie didn't need any instruction and hurled her ball down the lane.

Buddy liked sticking his face in the hand blower and Sugie made sure to tell everyone when it was their turn. The Baby chilled the whole time and liked looking at the lights. It was really fun!

Welcome to Moe's!

After fun at the Home Depot, we ate lunch at Moe's. Buddy LOVES Moe's and was treated to a free kid's meal for his birthday. While the hubby was getting stuff, the kids & I had a little silly time at the table!

We went to Coldstone Creamery after lunch. They sent Buddy a coupon for a kid's creation for his birthday, so he wanted to use it. He picked out blue cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears. Ew! But, both kids loved it.

We sat outside and enjoyed the ice cream before heading up to Boonville for our second try at the splash park. We saw no water splashing when we got there. The place was packed, so we weren't sure what was going on. Unfortunately, the park has been closed for the season for maintenance. Big time super bummer!!! So, we sadly headed home. The kids and the hubby all napped on the way home, so I enjoyed some peace and quiet. Maybe we'll try the splash park next year.

Hammer time

We took the kids to Home Depot on Saturday to make a bean bag toss at one of their kid workshops. The kids each got an orange apron to keep, a certificate, pin for their apron, & their completed project.

The hubby helped Buddy and I worked with Sugie. The perfect little baby just chilled and napped in his carseat. He's so good! Just like the stereotypical male, the hubby didn't follow the directions! But, the boys project ended up just like it was supposed to. Sugie and I used too much glue and got a little messy. Both kids had a great time hammering and putting together their projects.

Curly

We're not sure who he got this from, but little Baby's hair is super curly when it's wet! The first thing the doctor said when he was born was, "He's got a head full of curly blond hair!" And, yes he does! We always brush it out straight, but I really love his cute curls!!
